Practical Steps to Implementation of NPfIT
February 8 & 9 2005, London
Since the LSP contract awards for the National Programme
for IT (NPfIT) were finalized at the beginning of this
year, it has become more and more clear that 2 issues will decide
the success or failure of the Programme: Clinician engagement and
Process Change.
Crucial will be the ability of both IM&T and
clinical staff to implement the changes in processes and practice
– at regional and local Trust level - that will enable the
Programme’s technologies to operate and drive though the expected
benefits. At the same time there is the additional need to partner
effectively with the LSPs, and to plan for the other changes and
initiatives that the Programme will make necessary, but which are
not provided for in the core budget
Extensive research interviews over the last months
have revealed an urgent need for information and discussion on these
issues throughout the NHS PCTs and Hospital Trusts.
To meet this need, EyeforHealthcare is organizing Practical
Steps to Implementation of NPfIT , on 8 & 9
Feb 2005.
Designed primarily for the IT Managers, Operations
Managers, and Clinical Leaders (Medical, Nursing and Allied Healthcare
Professionals) who will be involved in implementing the NPfIT, and
related process change, at a local PCT and NHS Hospital Trust level,
the Conference will focus entirely on these key areas:
- Update on the latest news on the National Programme
- Managing change to working practices
- Planning and managing systems & practices in the
interim
- Setting agenda for Clinician engagement and training
at a local level
- Budgeting for change management, legacy systems etc
- Case studies and examples of best practice and success
stories
No other conference covers these “nuts and bolts” areas
exclusively and with such focus. Look at the latest details
